I ordered a size 3T for my 2 year old, who is average size, and normally wears size 2T shirts and 24 month pants. The costume was way too short on him- the cow feet ended at his shins! Besides that, there is too much dead space between the costume base and hood (cow head) of the costume, and the cow head doesn't attach nicely- different parts of it jut-out where there aren't snaps.
Don't waste your money on this, we had to buy a completely different costume for him. If you're looking for a good costume, we were very happy with the Elmo costume we bought to replace this one. Elmo Infant Plush
