So, I DO love this costume. It's simple, and although the headpiece is really just some very lame BRIGHT yellow fabric, with cheap "laurel leaves" on it....with my hair down..it's not too bad. I can also go without it, and it still looks good. The biggest problem I had was that the size says PLUS, and they sent me a standard. Lucky for me, I've lost weight & it did fit.

I was pleasantly surprised with this costume. I bought it with the idea that I could use it for both Renaissance and Steampunk costume purposes, but it fit that bill more than I was expecting it to. I was very fortunate to get this when they had put it at an extremely low price-$69-and it's normally around $119.
It is excellent quality, IMO, for a costume. I didn't realize that the skirt was going to be velvet, or velveteen-I had expected it to just be a typical thin polyester blend, and it has a nice, narrow brocade-looking band around the hem. It's not a lightweight material. I also took a chance on the size. I am a plus size person, but sometimes things are either smaller or larger than the size would indicate. This costume is pretty true to size, with a very comfortable fit. It has a velcro tab, but also a zipper, and I am going to be cautious with the zipper. I carried a sign I made from a piece of cardboard and a fly swatter which said "Feed Me". I sewed on plastic flies that I bought from the Halloween and More shop and wore a name tag that said "My name is Venus". Very well made and completely anonymous. I wore a green hoodie underneath and black gloves and pants. A fun costume!!!wow!!!

I got this to wear at gigs (I'm in an 80s retro cover band) and it is perfect. I thought it might be cheapy like most package costumes are, or too short, or too tight, but this one is made okay and not as short as some of those other costumes. I don't need to wear shorts under it. Not high quality, but better than a costume. I'd wear this out to a party or concert. Has some stretch. Fits me on the loose side, I'm 5' 6" and 127 lbs. The costume seems to be of decent quality, but the description is misleading. It does NOT include the boot covers as pictured, and the base color is black, not brown as stated. The hood is very tight-fitting around the face and cannot be pulled back; either you wear it with the hood up, or you take the whole thing off. I still would have given it four stars, but prime shipping failed me: I ordered on a Tuesday, delivery was "guaranteed" by Thursday... and the costume did not arrive until Monday afternoon, about eight hours AFTER I needed it. Was initially skeptical about spending $100 on a costume online, but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It's got 3 pieces; the under-robe with sleeves then an over robe then the hat.
I'm 6'2" 195 and this fits well - not too long or too short. Good quality material, nice embroidery.
Only Con? The hat is pretty small and doesn't fit well on my large noggin. I'll be looking for a different (larger) hat somewhere else.
Doesn't come with the beard or the gloves or cane, but I didn't want or need those items anyway.

I would recommend it as an affordable option to pregnant and non-pregnant people. You need to buy your own black tights and shoes. Nice, inexpensive, easy costume. I just put some leggings and a long-sleeved black shirt underneath and was ready to go. It was pretty tight at the bottom so I had to stretch it and break some threads in order to fit it down past my waist and I'm average size. But worth it for about $20.gentleman bug
