For a $40.00 item, I received my money's worth. " One size fits all" means just that - big on a 6-8, will probably fit up to a 14-16 due to elastisized waist. The capelet comes with velcro trim and the "fur" must be attached by you. Hat runs big. No lining in the capelet, but the inside of the fabric looks good. I find marabou fur to fly all over the place, so I will sew a plaid fabric ribbon in place of fur. The costumes appears more expensive than the cost. Bye> Click to See Editorial Reviews

This is a great looking costume. I like what I received, and it look MUCH LESS DORKY than most Christmas elf costumes - whatever that means. A few drawbacks though:
(1) the little bells tend to fall off in the wash... dry clean only?
(2) it does not come with the red/white socks - for what I paid for this, you should really include a friggin $2 pair of socks, I mean REALLY!
(3) the belt is crap - it's like a piece of gold dental floss. Again, for the price, they could have done better.
Again, I really liked this costume, but I gotta say, it's only half a costume. To make it look good, you really gotta get socks, elf shoes, and a real belt that is not just a tiny piece of sting. It took me several more hours of shopping, and about $30 additional to pull together these extras. The costume is very much like the picture - very cute! Only problem was that the extra piece that comes down from the apron was not attached. It doesn't have any snaps or buttons, so if I want to attach it I have to cleverly and carefully use safety pins. There is something hard (probably cardboard) inside making it very stiff, so it can't be sewn onto the apron. That's the only disappointment. Otherwise, it's a very nice outfit.
I did also notice after trying it on for only a few minutes that the vest made a dark colored imprint in the white blouse. I had a similar experience with another costume, so I'm hoping this will come out if I wash the blouse. It worked for the other costume, but that costume didn't have little red ribbons to worry about, so I was able to use bleach. I'd be afraid to try bleach on this one.

This item fits well on an average women 140lbs 5'3". Delivery was extremely fast. The color pictured was completely inaccurate, though. We received a blue costume with pink designs plus other colors and designs in it too. It still worked for our purpose. It just took us by surprise that it was such a different color.
