I purchased this for my four year old to wear on a Disney Cruise. We added a white t-shirt underneath and used the headband as a belt. I was worried that it would be too big, but it worked out great. We had to roll the pants to fit in length, but no problem. Perfect for the ship, too, because it was easy to go potty with the pants being separate from the top. My little one has worn this for multiple events now and just loves it! We should have room, too, to wear for at least another year. And I'm so glad, since we are soooo into pirates right now.Pirate Boy Costume okay, not as great as I expected
Didn't come with eye patch or sword, thought it did. The material was cheap. But when my grandson put it on for a Disney Dream Cruise Pirate Night, it look really cute. He will use it for Halloween also. That may be all it lasts....> Click to See Editorial Reviews

Old Fashioned Bathing Suit Male -

The suit had no actual sense of front or back for the shirt, and though the pants were comfortable, there is little to them. The socks had almost no elasticity in them, and would not stay up for even a single step-in fact they fall down as soon as I let go of them, making them possibly the only socks that Myth Busters could actually have knocked off of their test dummy, Buster. Still, I shall get a lot of use out of the shirt and pants (I must, considering that they cost 40 dollars.)Cool Suits
I purchased the old fashioned bathing suits for a school fund raiser, a dunking booth. Our principal and his father will be wearing them on June 5, 2013 to be dunked by the students here at Wilson Middle School. They have not tried the bathing suits on as of yet. I will give you a rating after they try them on. I would rather wait until they use them on June 5th to see how they stand up in the dunking booth, but you seem eager to hear from me. Not durable enough for actors or people who need it to last a long time.
Basic construction and medium quality materials make it look nice but its not super tough. Would be fine for a night or two but if you need something for long term use I recommend you look elsewhere. Cotton thread for tying up is cheap and flimsy, I will possibly replace with leather cord. The large model fits my chubby body nicely and it looks good over my pirate shirt. I think you should try to get as slim a fit as possible to make it look nice.Nice, well made.

Bought this specifically as it was advertised as being "cotton". My black shirt arrived with a label reading "100% polyester excl. of trim". Unfortunately, for my purposes, this makes the product unusable. Not sure if this is the case with the other colors or not.
Aside from misadvertising the material, this shirt appears to be decent in its design and construction. It's certainly not the quality / craftsmanship you would find at a renaissance festival, but you generally won't find such things at common costume shops, especially online.
