I ordered this costume for the Sepember 19th - International Talk Like A Pirate Day party that my friends puts on every year to celebrate this fun day. This costume is made of fine quality material and its true to size for us curvy women with some wiggle room. Its a very flirty, fun to wear and not too short pirate costume. I'm 5'6" and the skirt came to just the top of my knees. I received lots of compliments on the style and color. The only draw back to this costume is the hat it comes with - you have to shape it to get the look of what the picture shows and wasn't easy. I woud recommend that you purchase another pirate hat to wear with this costume or none at all.Amazing costume!
Wow, I cannot believe the excellent quality of this costume for the price! I actually purchased another pirate costume for double the amount that wasn't anywhere near as nice as this one. The material on this is wonderful, satin-like with velvet; the ribbons are good quality. It even has a separate underskirt with it's own attached crinoline, which is rare for any costume, let alone one at this price! It also has a zipper, and since it's all one piece, it's very easy to put on (that other pirate costume had a separate corset-vest that was very difficult to fit over the dress). This costume also runs pretty true to size, maybe even a just a bit bigger. I'm 5'3" and between a 16-18 and a 38D. The costume is just a little loose, but I remedied that by tying the ribbons tighter. Since I'm shorter than the model, the dress comes fully to my knees, but is still really cute. This is one purchase I am VERY happy about and I'm really looking foward to wearing this costume!Pirate Wench Costume
Okay, I should start out by saying that this outfit is high quality. It is cut more generously so I should have bought the smaller size. It looks fabulous and feels great on! I wore it with fencenet pantyhose, back lace petty coat, and some matching sexy matching pirate boots too to complete the look.
I got compliments all day long at work because while it is sexy, it is all tasteful to wear to work... It will not create a HR issue.
I live in cold climate for the Halloween Holiday so a coat was all I needed to keep warm throughout the night while I was outside. I was on the dancefloor with my girlfriends and I didn't work up a sweat for the four hours I was out partying the night away. This is a truly great costume to have fun in!!!
It was sort of funny that while I wasn't bearing any skin, I was getting attention a wee bit MORE than the girls who were wearing revealing and "sexy" costumes in my pirate wench costume.

The pink tutu was really cute, but the rest of the costume was not so good. I ended up wearing just the tutu & bought the rest of my costume separately. I even bought a new tiara b/c the one that came w/ the costume was gold & looked really cheap/tacky. The top was too big (not sized appropriately) & was even more tacky than the tiara. The dress was different from the picture I ordered from, the one I ordered was to have sleeves down to right above the elbow. I received as the picture above shows. I will not be wearing the dress. :(Dress was sewn incorrectly

My vampire costume was a nice quality for the price. My only gripe and it's a big one is that I am 5' 2 1/2'' (a little on the short side I know). As this costume is a full length dress, it need to be hemmed. Not just a little hem, at least 5'' but probably more like 6'' or 7''.A nice last minute costume

I bought this a while ago for my Halloween costume. And for the price it is good! I did have to tear it open and move around the stuffing a bit to give a more pregnant effect. And def wear a tank top underneath because its itchy. But it was very realistic. I kept getting mistaken for being actually pregnant!Looks real
My wife used it in a workshop teaching young women about the deleterious effects of getting pregnant out of wedlock. It was great. They loved it. I thought maybe my wife got pregnant over night...simply amazing. It's a great prop.belly

I ordered this outfit for my 80's themed bday party. It comes with everything pictured except for the necklace and shoes. It's easy to find cheap, 80's-looking jewelry to complement the outfit though. The costume is of decent quality, I don't like how big the gaps are in the fishnets but other than that it's a great costume.Cheap and nasty!

I am thoroughly disappointed with the item I received. First of all, the item I received is not as it appears on their website. I ordered Deluxe Vinyl Spats - White. On their website, the item is White with black snaps. The item I received is Beige with beige snaps and most of the snaps were scratched. Secondly, the item could have been shipped in an 8x10 envelope to avoid several dollars in unnecessary postage. Rather, it was sent in a box 3 times the size of the item and I was charged $6.48 for shipping. Lastly, Totally Costumes told me the restocking fee would be waived since the item was defective. Obviously they lied since I paid $6.37 but my refund is only $5.41. I will never do business with this company again.Horrible spats
The spats that I received looked nothing like the picture on amazon. I ordered white and they were almond color, the buttons were all rusty and the rust stained the spats. I am very disappointed and I hope amazon files a claim against them. I will never buy from them again. I needed them for a party on Nov 13 2010. I don't know if I am going to wear them now.cheap, needs velcro
This would be okay for one-time wear in a costume, but the snaps pull out after only a few wearings. If you plan on using as part of a band uniform or theater costume, you'll need to cut the snaps off and sew on velcro.> Click to See Editorial Reviews

This costume was perfect! A little sheer, so try not to wear dark panties or bra underneath -- (I wore nude on both) But the fit was great. Material was comfortable. Mine came with a pair of Jackie O sunglasses as well, even though the description said that no accessories were included, so that was nice. I wore it with pearls and little white gloves. Technically I could get this on and zip it up but it hit the trash can shortly thereafter. Trying for a good Dr. Girlfriend costume and because this purchase did not work out abandoned the whole concept. I'm guessing the model is about 5' tall because on my 5'10" self the skirt was WAY too short for public (even on Halloween). The quality was really cheap and I cannot imagine trying for a "Jackie O" look in this mess.Really cheap
I am so disappointed. The outfit looks so cute on the model. The hat is not like a regular pillbox hat. It doesn't have any cardboard to keep its shape. It's pretty much like a sailor hat. The dress was just a mess. It was see-through, short, and absolutely huge! I know it's a one-size-fits-all, but holy smokes it was like a tent on me! I have a 24 in waist for reference.
