The collar is really pretty and flashy. If I had a small dog then this would be perfect. I have an escape artist of a cat and thought this type of collar would be better for him to not take off. But when I put it on him it was just so bulky it didn't look right. My cat is an average sized breed a silver tabby and I don't know if even the x-small would be little enough for a cat. I ended up keeping them as they are nice, will probably gift it to a small dog owning friend as I have no use for it. I ended up finding a really cute collar on esty for my cat. I bought an orange guardian gear collar with the reflective strip because my pointer loves to run at night. The reflective "stripe" is not sewn onto the collar, only with an adhesive that lasted about 2 weeks for me before it started peeling off. I was able to return and get my money back. The collar is not well made for an outside dog.Very disappointed.
I purchased these collars with the assumption that the reflective strip would be duable as they are dog collars. I have had them for only a couple of weeks and the reflective strip is already over half gone.Loosens with wear
The adjustable buckle allows the collar to loosen with wear. It doesn't maintain size very well. I have used other adjustable collars which maintain size. This one does not. It won't fall off, but if caught would allow a determined pet to escape from the collar. Under some conditions that could be good. This collar looked beautiful upon arrival and the Lovely Ladi'Lee a mixed breed adolescent diva dog was very excited about wearing it. She wore it for a week when I noticed many of the crystals were missing. I ordered a Large after much measuring but it was still a bit small and I had to add a hole no worries there. The collar itself is very pretty but it's already showing too much "wear" for only being worn a week. The 10$ is cheap enough but without lasting a while it's not even worth that. I've spent half this amount on collars with more rhinestones that retained them to this day. If you are looking for an everyday collar this is NOT it. Such a bummer that this tie is not available in larger sizes. Our Simba was a little too big for this one. I managed to fix it with some velcro and by adding and a buckle on to it. But after spending 11 dollars and odd on the tie, i would have preferred to no have to do any more fixer uppers on it myself. But the tie is very cute.. The material is all cotton. and it is just so class. Our shih tzu baby Simba wore it during his first birthday party and he was the handsomest shih tzu bday boy around in town. ! All the guests who came in went gaga over him and his gentleman attire. ^_^

Measured my dogs neck and it was 9 1/2 inches so I ordered the 9-10 but when it got here it was too small. I immediately ordered the larger 10-12, it just arrived and it's the EXACT same size as the other which still doesn't fit.

I ordered this for my dog to wear at my wedding. He is a miniature poodle, approximately 18lbs. His collar size is small-medium and based on his neck measurement, I assumed this size would fit well. It was actually quite tight. I should have ordered a larger size.
That being said, due to time constraints, I couldn't order the next size up so we used this size anyway. He looked very dapper and it didn't seem to bother him very much.Handsome but VERY small

I have a chocolate female lab. She is 90 pounds and is everything you could ever hope for in a dog... it's almost like living with Lassie. I don't bother dressing her up for holidays but rather buy her collars. I guess she thinks of it like women think of shoes... more the better (generic disclaimer: My wife likes shoes, that's my comparison)! Anyway, the product is very solid and appears to be extremely durable. She wore it for the whole month of October and I did not notice any chaffing around her neck. My wife took her on many walks with the collar as well as visits to the local pet store (she received many complements...my dog, my wife didn't tell me about the ones she may have got but then again she wasn't wearing this collar as I only bought one and lets not go any further with this line).

I actually bought this for my cat, who is the size of a small dog. He is a Maine Coon, and this breed runs very large. The small cat collars wouldn't fit him, so finally I decided to go one step up and get the dog collar. I was really disappointed when I looked for the collar. Most of the dog collars I saw were not attractive or to my liking. I am a Yankee fan. Though not a rabid fan I think they are the greatest team on earth! When I saw this beautiful blur collar with the Yankee logo in white , I was sold. Not only does it look gorgeous on my black cat and fit him perfectly, there is a Yankee logo charm on the collar, as well -- cat enjoys shaking his head and making it jingle. Also, the collar is very well-constructed and sturdy. I am thinking of getting the other Yankee collar so he can have a selection.Excellent Product
