I ordered this costume for someone who was playing Mrs. Claus in an original Christmas musical for about 5,000 people. I ordered it because this was the only one I could find in this style, even though we weren't using the granny hat. The skirt length was nice, and the shape of the top was nice. There's a white vest that goes underneath the top, so that its isn't unnecessarily revealing. However, the "fur" trim...isn't. It's like a cheap little feather boa that's tacked onto the costume, and it sheds everywhere, so we were constantly plucking white lint off the red velour (it's not velvet). If we use this costume again, I'll have to have someone take off the cheesy white trim and put on actual fabric-backed fur strips. Fortunately I had a really pretty Mrs. C. and she'd look good in anything and wore the costume well. And I had really nice Santa velvet costume and really nice elf costumes, so the show looked good. We liked the shape of this costume, and it was the only one we could...Nice concept, but flawed
I bought this for my wife. First, the costume looks great but upon close inspection the sewing is not good. My wife had to make several adjustments. Second, the skirt is huge but can be worn all the way to the sternum. This makes it look like a blouse/skirt. Finally, the arms ae very thin and can be removed easily. Once adjusted, it looks great and is very colorful.A little small
I loved this costume and wanted it to wear to a Halloween party as I love Christmas and everything that goes with it. When I got the costume in I immediately tried it on and although it fit it was tight. I ordered a large and the skirt is fine but the shirt was more like a medium then a large. Also the white feathers shed very easily. I bought this for an 80's party in black. The photo makes it look nicer than it actually is. Where the crinoline is tiered it is sewn badly so that it looks lumpy and bunched up in a couple of places and doesn't hang nice and crisp and straight like the photo. Also, it looks knee length in the photo and it really isn't. I'm 5'5" and it came several inches above my knee. And I had to wear a slip under it because it was too sheer. It served the purpose: German Beer Drinker.
It fits a little funny. It seems like its made for...eh..more rotund gentlemen. Even with a 36" waist, it was too big for me in Large size. However, a Medium would have been too short in the crotch.
Remember: It does not come with the white shirt!Pretty Crummy
