I purchased the 6-12 month size for my (then) 14 month old who wears 9 month clothes. Figured I was safe and she'd be able to wear it. I was so excited when it came that I immediately tried it on her only to find it was WAY too BIG! It hung so low she stepped on the hem with every step, so obviously she wasn't going to be able to wear it trick-or-treating with her big brother and sister. I'm keeping it for next year, but I'm not sure she'll even be able to wear it then! It is REALLY cute, but be careful of what size you order.

This is a cute costume for an infant! My daughter was 10 months this Halloween and the costume was a little long on her but I think she'll still be able to fit into it next year since it was somewhat large. The material is nice and soft, not plastic which is a plus because an uncomfortable baby makes for a long Halloween night. As with most babies, the hat only stayed on for photo ops. It was quickly pulled off because she didn't want it on her head.
Cute but a totally fails on sizing
It is a cute dress, lovely purple color... but...
While the packaging says 6-12 months, there is a very big disparity between the dress and the hat in sizing.
Worthy of note that my baby is in the 50th percentile in size. So a very average baby - 10 months old... and here is how it worked for her:
The dress ran all the way to her ankles, it was so large and baggy on her. I compared it with a couple of pieces of clothing of 2T that I have and yup, the dress is more 2T than 6-12 months old... Now on to the witch hat - I don't know who it was made for, but it did not fit my baby's head properly - it was way too small! It's like it should fit Newborn to 6 month olds.
Unfortunate, because I liked it for my baby's first halloween.
