Although my son looked adorable in this I do not recommend it. The zipper was very poorly attached and constructed and was of low quality. I had to fight with him to get it on because it wouldn't start easily and the patience of a 13 month old is short. After trying to put it on for the 3rd time (we didn't want him in his carseat with it on so he wouldn't get too hot) it just plain broke. We tried to repair it but to no avail. He cruised around his aunt's house with the costume half open. Also the brown fur easily gets stuck in the zipper or ends up in your or your baby's mouth and nose.
One good this is the style. It is much less baby-ish than the other bear costumes out there. It does have cool claws and good coloring.
BTW, for sizing purposes he is 13 months, 25 lbs, 31" and this costume is just a little bit too long. It fit him fine but as the other reviewer said it was hard to get his feet in and the head fell off easily. And the inside is rough.
Sweaty Itchy Honey Bear
Although I thought this costume was adorable; and still was once finally on my son. It was much thicker than I anticipated, and no smooth inner liner. The inside was a very itchy material. My son would have needed long sleeves and pajama pants for it not to bug him. Also the feet were a bit difficult to put on (especially for my 13m old who doesn't understand how to PUSH his foot into a hole yet). The feet are like a footie pj and the opening is a bit tight. I had to put socks on my son to get his foot in, otherwise his toes kept getting stuck.
Once I got him zippered up the 12-18m size was too short. It was tight to pull the hood over my son's head (he's 2' 5"). So I wasn't able to close the Velcro piece just under the neck, and the head of the bear sat a little far back.
The costume was adorable for the whole 5 minutes I had him in the thing. But then after he sat down and got up a couple of times I noticed the bottom half of the zipper popped open. Took a bit...
