Bought this for my 16lb 6 month old son. We had to take the hat in a lot. The body and feet were fine for over clothes.It is very furry, hot, and smelled like straight B.O. I took the chance and washed it on cold with All Free and Clear on gentle cycle turned inside out. I aired dried it. Thank goodness it worked. The costume looked adorable on him, but seemed more trouble than it was worth.
