This costume did its job and looked cute the one time my daughter wore it during a thanksgiving play at school, but it is extremely flimsy and wouldn't work for dress up play. Size L should fit a 6-7 year old.
Costume
My daughter needed a Native American costume for a celebration at school. It is a little flimsy and the belt was a little big, but it's expected for its price. My daughter liked it and it worked for us.
Granddaughter loves it!
My 5-yr old granddaughter has discovered Pocahontas. She asked for the costume for her birthday. As this would be a play costume, not a collector's item, I didn't think it wise to buy a Disney Pocahontas costume for close to $100. I was concerned that this might not meet the criteria (one shoulder, gold trim), but she absolutely loves it. It's light enough to wear wthout being too hot, but I think it will hold up to reasonable wear and tear. It's made of a poly-blend imitation suede. The belt is too big, but that's not an issue. It can easily be taken up. The headband is little chintzy, but we are more focused on the dress at this age, rather than the accessories. Overall, pleased with the dress.
