I bought this dress along with the Classic Chemise both for $29 each. I bought these two items because I felt I had to settle as I did not have the money to purchase the $175 costume from another site that was similar. I really felt I would be downgrading with this costume totaling $60, and I was so wrong! I dont know what I would have gotten with the more expensive but I can tell you that this is what I expected from the expensive one. This is heavy fabric and will last a lifetime for me. Grommets appear to be ones that'll last (we'll see) Color is a nice dark green and size (Xsmall) is true to fit. It comes with a very strong string to lace up the bodice (which is boned in the front and does the great cleavage thing on my small chest) of the dress, but in my opinion its not realistic to the era at all. So if you are looking for a very acurate time piece for theater or a ren faire I would say you only have to replace the string if you are incredilby picky.

Perfect for my costume
I had reservations when it came to purchasing this dress because I was worried about the shade of green it would be. But it actually came out being a nice shade!
The corset part is the best! It has boning in it, making it more rigid.

Really I loved this but it was, I felt a little on the small size, but once I wore it and got top see how it fit, I was very pleased.
