Belly Dance Tribal Cotton 25 B00BLPUNLY

Belly Dance Tribal Cotton 25 Yard Skirt | Fiery Frills, Red - 4.0 out of 5 stars from 3 customer reviews

Beautiful
At first I rated this a five, but I went back and downgraded it. If you plan to wear it anywhere outside, it will pick up leaves, pine needles, etc. The stitching is made with thread that will come apart when you try and pull this stuff off too. Also, do NOT put it in your dryer, even on low, because it shrinks.

I ordered this for a costume I'm doing, and I absolutely love it. The color looks exactly like in the picture, and it has tons of volume. The one problem I've encountered is that it's a bit loose at the waist, and with the weight of the fabric it has a tendency to slip. However, a couple of safety pins are a quick fix.

Also, it has no shipment tracking, so if you're impatient like me, waiting for the shipping is torture. On the bright side, it actually came a couple days before the estimated delivery, so I was really happy about that :)

Massive Skirt, Pretty Comfy
This skirt is great. I wear it like jeans with a T-shirt and bustle up the back and go to Burning Man Parties and Renaissance Fairs and to well... Target. I get a lot of compliments from people in normal clothes asking me where I find these skirts, and they can only be found online.

I've considered putting el wire all along the edge because it has a fantastic rippling effect when you spin in it and oodles of ruffles, but this skirt is so big that it has 100' of edge - and at $1 / foot for el wire, maybe the edges do not need to glow.

Only 4 stars because I'm used to a heavier cotton in this style of skirt. Maybe there's an advantage to use the lighter weight cotton, it won't fall down when it gets wet?

Blue and beautiful
Very beautiful and full, flirty and fun! I agree with the other review regarding the collecting of any and all debris if you're outside. I literally walked a festival and had enough grass, twigs and other fauna to build a large nest! And, when trying to remove the debris, fraying of the hem stitching. No care instructions - so washing on gentle with cold water is my option, hanging to dry.

On the other hand, I could not purchase 25 yards of fabric and sew this skirt for this price - so, it meets my costuming needs perfectly.
