So cute
This dress is adorable and not at all risque like it is in the photo. I'd planned to wear this over leggings to work, but its just conversative enough without them. According the package the model is 5'7 and 115 pounds, but the costume must have been cut down for her since the sleeves and skirt are much longer on me -- about midway down to the knees and elbows. It look a little like an Octoberfest drindl.
The fabric is a thick synthetic velveteen, and the tatters and sleeves are a layered stocking nylon. The color is more of a hot pink than the shell pink on my monitor. I haven't figured out the hat yet, but it's not really a tricorn, more of an pentacorn. Although the description doesn't say so, the hand-less gloves and the laced underskirt are included. The sash is a bit of a pain. It was designed to hang down like an apron. It's more flattering the way the model has it, but it tends to wad up.
All-in-all a great costume and very flattering. I expect...
Cool Pirate Costume
It worked out really well, fit and all (not as short as pictured-liked that). The hat did not work--couldn't form it right, so I just wore a wig with a pirate scarf which was better. I got a lot of compliments, plus it matched my daughter's pirate costume pretty close--surprising since they both came from 2 different places. Very happy.
Cute Costume
This was a very cute costume and seemed to be made pretty well. The dress is like a felt feel with an underskirt. It is also not too revealing which is nice. I got the large and it fit perfect(10)..I think it would be pretty tight on a 14.
