The first thing I noticed when I opened up the package is that it lists this as a "plus" costume at Size 14/16. This is NOT that size, which is good for me because I'm several sizes up from that. It fit me just fine and looks cute, but if you are truly a 14/16 you will be swimming in this. So beware. The base dress of the outfit and cape look alright but the boot covers don't really stay on. If you care about that part of the costume, it's probably better to just invest in some cheap gogo boots of some sort. Overall I'm happy with it.
Halloween costumes
I really liked the costume...on-line.The cape has this velcro fastner that feels like it's choking you,I hated it .the boot covers were too short to cover the tip of you're regular shoe and they would fall down you're legs ,very uncomfortable.... so I bought go go boots to wear with it at the last minute.The belt around the waist was too small. The velcro was not sticking so the belt kept falling off.horrible time wearing it.=[
Made For A Certain Figure...
I read all the reviews and saw that the biggest complaints were the size and the boot covers. I decided that I didn't care about the boot covers and as long as the dress fit my chest (with a 38G/H, it is hard to find something that goes past my armpits), I could always make a different belt. But I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did it fit my chest, but it fit my waist too (incredibly rare).
So ladies, keep in mind: this is for people who are legitimately curvy. Not "curvy" as in too big for size 4-10. This costume is for people who are actually shaped like amazons (broad shoulders, small waist, muscular thighs, large chest).
As far as the skirt goes, if you are tall it isn't a problem. I am 5'9" and it came to mid thigh.
