I bought this KATARA costume for my 6 year old who adores this water bending character. From a distance the costume looks ok, but when you look at it closely, it is made of very flimsy, cheap quality fabric -- too cheap for the price. Also, the KATARA necklace is sold seperately, why not add it to the already expensive costume and make life easier for consumers?
I hand washed it since it got dirty in rain and the fabric started to fall apart. Overall my daughter enjoyed wearing the costume, but I don't think it will last for more than one or two of her dress up play sessions.

The first costume received had the shoe coverings almost completely detached from the rest of the pant legs. The faux bow on the belt was already coming unglued. The costume was returned and the replacement had the pant legs sewed on but the elastic on the bottom of the shoe covering was not sewed on one side and the side seam of the dress/tunic was beginnig to unravel. I would have returned this one too if my child did not have her heart set on this costume and I had more time to shop for something else. The costume is of POOR quality.Costume Made Wrong
This is a great costume idea for girls, but the one we received was made very poorly. The "feet" were sewn facing backwards, so my daughter had to wear the pants backwards (tag in front) to look right, and was uncomfortable.
After she wore it once, we noticed the stitching on the sides (the slits) was coming undone, making the side slits too long (showing too much skin).

This costume is good quality for a costume. I wore it with the purple petticoat and wings. The petticoat is a must as the costume is very short without it. I keep getting compliments all night on the costume. The only small point of contention is that the foliage on the belt brooch and the hair clip is different than what is pictured. Instead of very woodsy foliage as pictured, it is lime green, sparkly, spiny-fernish foliage. It was a little bit of a disappointment.
The sizing is fairly accurate. However, the bust is bigger than the measurement guide suggests and gapes a bit at the sides. I took the sides in about 2 inches and shortened the shoulder straps which are rather long.
All in all, I'd highly recommend this.Runs big on top, but nice!
This item arrived on time and in good shape. It looks really nice, but I've had to return it for an exchange since the medium was way too big on me. I was surprised, because I've gotten other Leg Avenue costumes before, and the medium always fits. If you are large in the bust then I recommend trying your "normal size," but if you are small on top (as I am) then go a size lower. I could have taken it in, etc. but for $50 I'd rather just exchange it for a size which fits decently, and I would have had to take in quite a bit. I didn't really think it was too short, either. I'm 5'6" and would feel comfortable just wearing the costume, but I think I'll get the petticoat simply for the look of it. I look forward to receiving my new size and I'll update if necessary.Conservative and Cute!
The small was a perfect fit (I'm 5'3" and petite build).
It was a bit on the short side, so if you're more conservative or tall I would recommend purchasing the purple petticoat (I didn't). Unfortunately, part of the flower appliqué accent broke while I was wearing it, but the costume still looked lovely.
I washed the costume twice, using the gentle-cycle (don't forget to remove the appliqué) and hang-dried and it held up beautifully.> Click to See Editorial Reviews

This costume really didn't live up to my expectations and I don't expect much when it comes to kids Halloween costumes. I never did get the ears to stay up, which upset my son. I tried ironing them as the package suggested as well as plastic rods to hold up each ear. Nothing worked. He finally gave up and took them off.
