Super cute and very true to size. We purchase the hard mask before ordering this and my 5 year old (who wears a size 7) likes the mask that came with it instead of the hard one because it looks more like the real fitted superhero suit. We also ordered the shield and it is fabulous. The colors are very vibrant. My son's birthday is just before halloween so we will have a costume party so he will be able to wear this a couple times before halloween and on halloween as well. Then I know he will enjoy wearing it for dress up the entire year just as we have with our Iron Man costume from last year and Spiderman the year before that. Love the light up chest as well. Not sure how long that will last but as long as it makes it thru Halloween we will be very pleased.Perfect
Bought it for my 7yr old, who tends to be on the low end of the growth scale. I bought the medium and it fits just fine, if a tad big. I imagine it would fit perfectly for anyone who is an average size 8-10 for the medium. The "muscles" are very cute! My son has worn it every day since it arrived so the durability is pretty decent. There is one spot where I am going to have to fix a seam, but as I said I dont think it was intended to be worn and played in every day. This is a great choice for all the little Captain Americas out there.Falls apart.

How do I place this costume... hm.. Let me compare to other costumes that are out there..
So.. as far as the Merida's costuems are concerned this would be the best in the category.
This is authentic Disney Store item. It is not a toysurus product by Disney and the quality
shows it. It is pretty nice. I was hoping it will be spectacular to say least as the picture
seem to be pretty good but this costume is actually just okay. I mean it is solid okay
but it is not spectacular.
My daughter was a great judge of it, she brougth and linned up all her costume candidates
for this Halloween and she did not give a second thought to it. She went with the Limited
Edition Snow White that is just dreamy. It is about, oh geee.. like thousand times
nicer then this Merida Costume but then again we paid for it quite a bit more too
as Disney Limited Edition Costumes will do that to you wallet :) but it is worth every penny.

This costume, although very cute in the picture, was not good quality. The fabric is very thin and you need to wear tights/tshirt underneath, whether you wear it indoors or out. There were several areas on the hem where I needed to re-attach the fur trim which was not easy to do since the fabric was so thin and delicate.
