I bought this for Halloween (used it to turn it into an astronaut jumpsuit!) and bought the 2xl as I normally wear a 16 dress size. I could zip the dress up until it hit my breasts--then it wouldn't go up any further. I wear a 38C, which isn't that large considering the dress size, so its kind of strange that the dress didn't flare out at all for the chest. Could have used a lot more room in the chest. I had to have my friend open up the sides from the armpit to about halfway down the side of the waist and sew about 3/4 of an inch of fabric on each side so I could zip it up over my boobs.
Aside from that fit issue, the dress is pretty cute (love the cuff sleeves and the collar). I wanted to not have to wear additional layers under the skirt but it was so short that I put a petticoat underneath so my butt wouldn't be showing.
Might be fine for smaller sizes, but I'd say if you are a 14 dress size or up you might want to skip it.
