As for the costume, this is very cute. My daughter loved wearing it. It is a little scratchy around the neck, but that was resolved putting a black turtleneck under the costume. I bought a size bigger and it didn't swallow her up in the least. Esp since we put a shirt underneath. The hat worked perfectly for us re: standing up straight. Even if it hadn't, it would've been fine. All you have to do is stuff some paper or tissue in there. I tacked two orange ribbons on either side and tied the hat under her chin. Worked fantastic.
Cute but a bit flimsy
This is a cute autumn-themed costume. it's all one piece with several layers on the skirt. As with most of the costumes of this type, it comes with a thin mesh material that makes up the sleeves. That mess separates easily from the armhols so I've had to do sewing every time it was worn. And older child can be a bit careful with it - I wouldn't buy it for a toddler though. They'd be too frustrated with it and it would only take one tug to fray the sleeve right off.
Cute costume!
Purchased for my 9 year old. She looked at every catalog and website imaginable, and this one was her favorite. It's just as cute as the picture IRL after some time in a steamy bathroom to get the wrinkles out of the tulle layers. It is, however, a little flimsy and scratchy on the inside. But I had her wear a black long-sleeve shirt underneath, and that solved everything.
