This costume fit like it was tailored for me. I did listen to the reviews. I'm a size 6 and bought the large just in case. The sizes do run small.
Adorable but small
I just received this costume for my Octoberfest party and it is so cute. It's made of cotton and has real ribbons. The bra is underwriter and a little padded, so provides nice push-up support like the picture. The back is pulled up with a ribbon like the front. I gave it 3 stars because I didn't listen to other site reviewers that said it ran small and I ordered a medium. I usually can squeeze into a small and look only mildly ridiculous and never have any problems with a medium. I'm 5'7" and it just covered my butt- so you definitely need to get a petticoat if on the taller side. Unfortunately, my vanity got in the way and I just couldn't bring myself to order a sexy costume in XL which I now need after I eat the shipping three times. I would say overall to order a size and a 1/2 up. The medium was somewhere in between an XS and small.
sizing is strange!
let me start by saying that this costume is a quality piece of clothing. it doesn't feel cheap or poorly constructed & if cared for properly, will last many halloweens/octoberfests. my only issue with the costume is the sizing - i am normally a size medium. i read the reviews and decided to go with the large just in case. i recieved the costume, pulled it out of the package & knew before i even tried it on that it wasn't going to fit. i managed to get it over my head & zip it up halfway and no more. luckily, i was able to order the extra large and return the large, and the extra large fits perfect.
