At first I was disappointed to see that the buttons were simply decorations and the coat closes with Velcro. Also, it takes some time along with some trial and error to get the Velcro closed without any folds along the way. However, once closed, it looks fantastic. The back has an adjustable elastic strap to make the waist fitted. The material is nice and thick and doesn't feel like a cheap costume at all. Basically, it ends up looking cool and that matters most to me so I am happy.

Loved this coat! I say "loved" because I was stupid and washed and dried it on hot (had to get out a stain!) and shrunk it to small for me to use. But my son will love it when he gets to use it. When it fit me, it fit like it had been tailored and looked really good.
