I purchased this dress for my daughter's Colonial Day at school. I would say it runs fairly true to size, maybe a little on the large size through the shoulders. When viewing it online, the dress looks like a deep cranberry (at least on my computer). My daughter liked the color is which is why we ordered it. In person, it is definitely dark brown, no hint of cranberry at all. Had we realized that, we probably would not have ordered it; however, we don't have time to order a different one now. So, if you are o.k. with brown, it's fine--but just wanted to give the heads up to any other potential buyers in case you think it looks like a deep marroon or cranberry...it is not.
