I know this is supposed to be a costume item, but I bought this sash because of its amazing length and wore it around my purple ball gown for a military ball. it is amazing! the satin is smooth and the color is jett black. Have used it many other times for other dresses, and now my bridesmaids are purchasing it for their dresses. :o)
