I paid a bit more for this than the website, because I got it at a Halloween store by my house. However, even paying $7.00 less it would still have been a rip off. The purple collar thing is a separate piece that does not stay up on its own. I am going to have to sew it to the costume and shorten the black neck ribbon, because it was made for someone with a freakishly large neck. (it could fit around my daughter's waist) The broach shown in the picture does not come with the costume. The costume runs short. My daughter is a 7/8 and the medium, which is supposed to fit 8-10 was short. The fit is large though, and the dress falls forward exposing her chest. So getting a larger size was not practical, unless I wanted to also take it in on the sides. my daughter has a medium build, and has never had a problem with items her size being too big around the waist) I would take this very cheaply made over priced costume back to the store immediately, if my daughter wasn't so in love...
Not as it appears
I was very disappointed when this costume arrived. As it is pictured, the dress looks like it should hit the tops of the feet, but it barely came past my daughter's knees, and she is a very petite 10 year old. I ordered the size 8/10. The top of the dress was also HUGE around the chest and shoulders area, not cute and fitted as pictured. She was not happy that she had to wear a shirt underneath for modesty's sake. The collar was also too big and very awkward - wouldn't stay in place and the velcro to hold it on was badly placed. She chose to go without it. Overall, we were both disappointed with this costume. Would not recommend it.
