Quite decent for a mass-market Halloween costume
My boy saw the movie Gladiator and was enthralled. Naturally, he wanted a Halloween costume that looks the same as the Spaniard.

My experience with Halloween costumes in the past few years has left me highly skeptical. America's weak (nonexistent, really) anti-false-advertisement laws have led to an entire industry selling flimsy plastic pieces while putting totally unrelated fantasy photos on the packages. So, it was with quite a bit of trepidation that I ordered this costume for him.

Well, it turns out that this costume is indeed flimsy but still much better than the industry average. The pictured costume was probably the prototype. The factory had to substitute with much cheaper materials, of course. The armor is a thin layer of vinyl. The cape is polyester. The shin guards and the helmet are made of soft rubber. This costume is A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!!!!! When ordering costumes online, you never know what you're going to get--We were really impressed with this one!! It comes with all of the bells and whistles (like "sandals"-they were a tad big so we added our own velcro circles to tighten them up) at a great price and looked very authentic! My 5 year old put silver wings on & used it for a St. Michael the Archangel costume for All Saints Day at his school and then changed it up a little and dressed as a gladiator to go trick or treating. He wears it every chance he gets and it is still in great condition (great quality for a Halloween costume). We would definitely buy it again!

Fun Custome!
I bought this custome for my son to wear at the Renaissance Festival. He wore it ALL DAY and was very comfortable, except with the helmet/mask (made of a thick rubber) which he couldn't wear too long because his face would get too hot. This is a good looking custome and the material is very decent too.
