You know the old saying about how we can always depend on Death and Taxes? I've searched for a Tax Collector and IRS agent costume.. seems you just have to use your imagination, a clipboard and briefcase, because I've not been able to find any for sale.
Several years ago, I bought one of these costumes (not from Amazon and mask was not included). It remains a classic, has held up beautifully and simply refuses to go out of style. Definitely buy a plastic scythe (*not* a sickle). A metal blade is better, but real scythes are usually expensive, can be quite dangerous and are a bummer to haul around after awhile. You can wear the mask or buy some white (glow in the dark is best) and black or dark grey makeup and invent your own 'hollow eye socket' effects... get one of those chintzy "official" long straight 'platinum blonde' Lady GaGa wigs and make the hair stick out at odd angles under your hood or use a stocking cap, gauze and heavy white makeup to create the look of a bald...
