I love this costume and am happy with it, but I did have some little problems. I read other reviews that said the vest was too small and had that problem too, but I chose not to send it back for a larger size because the dress itself fit fine and didn't want to risk getting a dress that was too big just for the vest. That was my only real issue, but the belt also was a little small (but easily replaceable) and the plastic boning on the vest poked out really quickly. Other than that, I love that it's all separate. It's a beautiful shade of red, and looks great without the vest (so long as you have a belt. A wide belt really brings the whole look together without the vest.) I'm very pleased with it, even with the little issues, because this is still one of the best costumes I've ever purchased.
Gorgeous Costume!!
I absolutely love this costume! It is exactly as pictured. The quality of the costume is much better than I was expecting. I ordered this in early October to ensure that I had time to exchange it for a different size if needed. Fortunately, using the measurements guide, it fits perfectly! Oh, I must mention that the hat that comes with the costume is rather under-stated and cheap looking, so I went to a local Halloween store and paid $20 for a larger, sturdier hat. Now my costume is perfect! I cannot wait to wear it to our work Halloween party!!
Item Description - Brown? Red?
I'm giving this item 5 stars because I love it. However, I was not able to purchase it from this site. There are two descriptions. One is BROWN and the other is RED. I looked back and forth multiple times and could see no difference between the "Brown" item and the "Red" item. Despite that, I wasn't going to take a chance (with Halloween so near) of ordering something that might ship to me in brown (?) when I wanted red. I'm not even clear on what part of the costume might have been brown anyway. The dress, perhaps?
It's unfortunate that I had to order this same item from another site. The prices were just about the same but I would have preferred to order through my most-trusted and always-used Amazon.com. I'm sorry that I couldn't take the chance - but I did think that I should let you know about the confusion with your listing. I can't be the only one that didn't understand your description.
