Unless you are in very good shape, I would suggest trying to get the Jedi robes that some folks cell and wear it over this thing. While I wouldn't call myself FAT (though the tubby tag DOES fit) I am not in shape either. Wearing just the monk robe make me look like a mishaped sausage.
On the flip side, this outfit DOES offer great weight-loos incentive.
