At first, I was very excited to order the Martha Washington Colonial Costume. It was exactly what I needed for a production I was in. However, upon receiving the item, I came to realize that there was absolutely NO WAY this costume would fit. I am typically size 14, so I ordered an XL. The top was comparable to a woman's size 8 and the skirt was comparable to a woman's size 28. I do not understand how this would be considered an XL. When I called the company for help, they claimed that if the costume was labeled with an XL tag, then all of the XL's would be the same fit.
I needed this costume in a hurry. I chose and PAID FOR 2 day shipping- I ordered the costume on a Thursday, and did not receive the costume until TUESDAY!!! The company had no idea why it took so long, and did not give me a refund on shipping.
Needless to say, I returned the costume, suffered the loss of the shipping costs, and found something else to wear for the production.

nice look but needs more or better fasteners up the front
The few little pieces of velcro that are suppose to hole the blouse closed are not sufficient. I had to sew on five snaps in addition.
Great for school presentation
Thank goodness for Amazon or I would have been in trouble when my daughter announced on a Tuesday that she had to be Abigail Adams at school on Friday for a grade. I don't sew and this was perfect with a shawl.
