I purchased this for my daughter to carry her writing/work papers for her theater classes and it has worked very well for that purpose. Its not overly thick and lays well when being carried. Colors are fabulous and we are both very happy with this product. However, I did come across one just like this that was less than half the price a couple of days after I ordered it.
