I have a cute little brown puppy and I thought a banana costume would be pretty funny. Unfortunately, the fabric was cheaper than I anticipated and in order to achieve the look in the product photo, I would have needed to do some modifications. For example, the ends of the banana do not stand up in a typical banana shape but could if you added some batting into the ends. Also, the wrap around to secure the costume to the chest was not appropriate for my puppy with a defined ribcage and tucked up underline behind the ribs, but probably could have been modified with some stitching or safety pins. Lastly, I thought the Chiquita logo was cute but the actual print was not well applied or had not traveled well in the heat. Basically I learned I can pay less for a goofy costume at Target down the street and get something of better quality.
Adorable, but cheap
I bought a medium for my 14 pound Westie and he looks super cute in it. You get what you pay for with this item - he looks adorable, but you could rip it about it 10 seconds.

Best dog costume ever. She is a little on the heavy side for this (15 lbs), but she squeezed in it just fine and rocked it. She's asked to wear it several times since our banana themed party. I have her save it for only the best occasions.
