Girls Poodle Skirt - Felt
Ordered this skirt for a 50's dance for my 13 year old daughter.
The order came just in time for the dance. While not a high quality fabric, it served it's purpose. It looked presentable and did not wrinkle and moved nicely. I would recommend this reasonably priced skirt for any 50's occasion.
Piece of junk
This is a piece of junk. I didn't expect much given that it's an inexpensive costume, but I did expect the poodle to look like a dog and not some strange blob. I'd pass on this or find it locally in a costume store where you can at least check it out before you buy.
I spent MORE to FIX this than I paid for it
I bought 2 of these in size small for my twin daughters to wear to a school sock hop. They are 8 and wear a girls 10. The length was just about perfect on THEM. So I can't imagine what this would look like on an adult. THANKFULLY they were at school when they arrived because the "poodle" on this thing is enough to scare your average lower elementary school kid. My husband thought it looked like a mutated octopus. Of course, I waited til the last minute and they arrived on the day of the sock hop. I then had TWO hours to figure out how the heck I was going to make them wearable. That meant a 20 minute (one way) drive to the fabric store, who I am grateful to for stocking an iron on poodle! then I was saved by my stitch ripper, glue gun, and iron. or I would have had some disappointed little people.
BEWARE. If the price is worth not having to sew the skirt yourself, go find yourself a decent poodle to replace the mutated octopus. otherwise, go buy something else...
