This dress up gown was such a hit that it is all my 5 year old would wear for 3 days. It was a little more than I wanted to pay for a play dress, but certainly has been worth the joy. It washes well, and so far is holding up to a high level of activity. I would recommend for a child who likes to play dress up. We ordered white because she is facinated with the princesses in their wedding gowns. If you are worried about staining another princess dress with color would be a good option.
