I just received this costume - the quality of fabrication is terrible, the threads are coming from all seams, and the seams themselves are not straight, so it looks really bad on the child. On the picture the vest has buttons - the costume I got has velcro, stitched on the angle. The picture has the nice leathery look of the fabric, in reality it is the cheapest looking stuff.
I will return it, for the 39 I paid (no discount for size small) it looks very cheap and poorly put together.

Color bleeds
This costume is so cute! It does have buttons on it, at least the one we got. I have read product descriptions that out and out said there were no buttons so I was pretty surprised. Things are hooked together like the vest and coat and then pants and "boots" but it is an el cheapo costume. You can't pay $20 for a costume and expect it to be theater quality. We ordered some accessories for it to really round it all out. My biggest complaint is that when I took it out of the bag, I hung it up to straiten out a little (it was in a bag it looked pretty bad) but a few minute later I noticed that my hands were black. I went back and rubbed the costume to make sure that was where I had gotten it from and it was. I ended up soaking it in epsom salt and vinegar for about a day and then rinsed it and hung it up to dry. No more color is leaking off and it is much nicer looking. The hat is huge, but it ties on so it looks alright, plus I think i could sneak an actual hat underneath it...
