Our 14 year-old son wore this to a 'Prince & Princess' holloween party. His Princess friend wasn't too excited when he mentioned he was coming as 'Prince' (cleaver suggestion by his mother from the Prince era). The parents at the party understood the connection and it was well received by his peers.

The costume arrived quick and was a party hit. I wore it to a Purple Rain show/costume contest. It was a bit big on me, but not unexpected. I was a little disappointed in the gold detail, it seemed to light for the whole ensemble.
