I bought this for a pirate costume and it worked, but it felt cheap. The gold string comes to you all bunched up and wrinkled and the lighter brown on the sides is a dark brown velvet. It's made of this itchy, cheap spongy material which isn't bad if it doesn't directly touch your skin. It ties in the back and across the neck so your costume looks good from the front but costume-y in the back.
