Leg Avenue Women's Mistress Maid Costume, Black/White, Medium/Large - 4.0 out of 5 stars from 5 customer reviews
great buy
I was very skeptical buying something like this from the internet. However, it came so fast (4 days) and fit great. Im a size 12 with a 36 D bust, after looking at the chart I figured I needed and XL- it fit but was a bit too big. I could have gotten away fine with a Large. You do need an additional petticoat to make it puffy. However I highly suggest this company!
adorable
I have about six Leg Avenue costumes now. I am 5'7.5" and 135 lbs. I always get a small.
I've never had a problem with one of these costumes falling apart. I bought this one to do a "Dark Queen of Hearts" type thing, but I think I'm going to use it for some housemaid fun at my guy's apartment first, he wants me to change his comforter cover for him- I think this will make it more fun, don't you? hahaha
Definitely always get the petticoats for beneath these costumes. They need the fluff underneath, and can be purchased inexpensively if you watch for them on Amazon. I have pink, red, black and white petticoats and they
never wear out or look old. Leg Avenue petticoats are the best out there. I do a lot of costuming...I know.
This particular costume could be accessorized for use in so many ways- an excellent basic piece.
Because this one came as Small/Medium, it was bigger than the "smalls" I have in the Lucky Lady roulette wheel costume, the pink German beer...
Disproportionate torso
The style of this costume is super cute, exactly as pictured. However, I found it to have a disproportionately long torso portion that was unattractive. It just makes your legs start at the wrong place visually. It's possible this isn't the case for someone with a different shape than me. I'm not super curvy or full, about 120 pounds with B cups, but even when I tried stuffing my chest full there still seemed to be this extra long torso that cut the body weirdly, especially with that additional long white bib extending down. I returned it.
