I was lucky enough to find this costume at Walmart at a great price and scooped it up. It caters to my dark style so I don't feel uncomfortable being seen in it and has medieval flavor without being gaudy.
The mixed materials are sturdy and all work well together and don't feel mismatched. It's stretchy and surprisingly comfortable except for the upper arms (which is addressed below in my 'cons' review). The zipper accent down the front is functional, so you can show as much of the detailed fabric underneath as you want.
The overall design is beautiful, but it does have a few drawbacks.
For one, the arm bands below the "shoulder poofs" are a tad too tight for gals with some meat on their upper arms (mine aren't big, but just enough to make putting them in and out of the sleeves uncomfortable and hard), but with some minor editing, the problem can be fixed easily if you're skilled at sewing. I fixed this problem in under half an hour by hand.
