I'm a size 8/9 and five feet tall, and based on another review saying this garment runs small, I went with the M/L instead of the S/M. It fits comfortably, but honestly, I could have lived with it being tight and tiny since I'm really only planning it wear it for one night. Being short as I am, the dress stops at my knees, so I used safety pins to pin up the top where the side lacing starts about eight inches higher than it stops on its own and it's perfect now. Length would be my only complaint really. The model in the photo must be about nine feet tall for it to fall that short on her. As far as quality of the garment, I mean, you get what you pay for. If I were planning to wear this dress every day for the rest of my life, I'd probably go with something better constructed, but I feel like $20ish is a BARGAIN, considering the cost of an "adult" costume for women is normally in the $60+ range. Something else I feel the need to mention that I haven't seen written anywhere in a sales...
excellent costume
My husband dressed as the pope and I as his sexy nun. Everyone wanted pictures with us. Considering our religious backrounds this was the best thing we could have dressed up as. This costume was very light and pretty. I gave it 4 stars because when i received it the black from the dress bled on the white section below the neck leaving two small purple stains. I could not get them out. We had bought this just in time for the costume party and it was too late to get another one. I was able to cover it up with me hair...but still...i knew it was there.
Perfect Costume
I am about 6 months pregnant, and was nervous buying the costume online without trying it on, especially with the mixed reviews. I went with the Medium/large, and it fits perfect! I am about 5'3" and pregnant with a pretty big bump already, and it is not too short on me at all. The material is really stretchy, it is a little see through, but it is for halloween, and for the price it is perfect! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the habit does not stay on at all, but I plan to glue it to a headband as suggested by a previous reviewer, and I think it will be good to go. Great costume, very pleased with my buy.
