I first bought a size large for my 26lb Corgi. It was too small, so I had to order an extra-large-- which was too big (she wore it anyway). That said, it is a very cute costume. It is well made, not super cheap like some costumes. It is made out of a velveteen type fabric, which gets hot if it's warm outside (like here in Texas). The hat was very adjustable and fit fine.
