It did the job... the "Robe" is a bit like a ladies night gown of thin material, and the foam-cloth hat had permanent wrinkles as received.
Gandalf wouldn't have frilly cuffs like this costume has, and if you are over 5'5" it's going to show your hairy ankles :)
Not the best value for your dollar.
Costume
The costume worked perfectly. It would have been nice if the beard had been included. It will make a nice Halloween costume for next year.
Worked out pretty well!
I bought this to go see The Hobbit premiers and just for general fun because I love Gandalf. The color of the robe was what I was hoping for. The pictures looked more purple so I was a little concerned, but my robe came out grey. The only thing that bugged me were the hems on the arms and bottom of the robe. They were more frilly than I would imagine Gandalf having. I don't think he wore very "frilly" garments, but overall the robe worked out nicely. The hat was wrinkled, but wasn't anything that a good ironing couldn't get out. The belt and satchel worked out well as well. I am very pleased. It looked great with my beard, wig, staff, and pipe. Shipping was fast as well!
