I bought this costume for my 9 year old niece's birthday-- she loved it and wore it to her kids party and will be wearing it for Halloween. I doubt the costume will fit her when she's 12, and she's average size. Sewn well, but the material was cheap and hot. She couldn't wear the costume for very long in warmer weather. Grossly overpriced, but I guess it is a licensed product.
