My son is 5'3" at 11 years old, so most of the children's costumes don't fit him. I bought this for him since he loves to play dress-up and ninja-type fighters, and he loves it. It fits him with a little room to grow, but the legs have ties at the bottom in order to keep them from dragging under him as he walks. It is a think material, so don't expect something that will last if you are rough with it, but it is definitely fun for anyone who likes this type of thing.
