Very nice coat for the price
Junior's been after me for a while about wanting a "Cavalry" coat- while technically correct, in his world "Cavalry" refers to the Union Army in general- there's Cavalry on horses and Cavalry on foot, etc. So he needed a yellow Cavalry coat so he could fight the "Yetis"- I think he misheard/misremembered "Yankees", but he's applied it to the Confederates. So Cavalry and Yetis fighting at Gettysburg. Whatever, how many 4 year olds know who Josh Chamberlain is, let alone can recognize him and have a photo of him in their bedroom?

I digress...

The coat is very nicely made- a good weight of dark blue wool with a soft cotton (muslin?) lining in the body and sleeves. Buttons are standard Federal Eagle, and are found on the body, collar bars, and on the (fully functional) cuffs. The trim is well-executed and looks good. It's pretty rugged and should stand up to the wear-and-tear he'll put it through.
