I purchased this costume for my nephew's 5th birthday. He sees all the great princess stuff his sister has and felt left out. I did not get to see the costume since he lives in another state but was told it was not the standard cheap costume plastic put together with glue. Instead the costume was sewn with a good weight fabric so kids can wear it and not ruin it the first day. We found the sizing chart to be pretty true to size, I ordered a small for an average sized 5 year old and it fit perfectly. FYI, I recommend ordering in plenty of time since this craftsmanship can't be done overnight (between production and standard shipping almost two weeks). BTW, My nephew loved his new dress up costume so much he decided to wear it for halloween this year.
